CM Scrap Tire Processing - Stage 4 - Final Milling and Screening

CM Shredders designs milling, screening, and cleaning systems for the final stage of the tire recycling process. The milling and screening of tire rubber is accomplished in Stage 4 of tire recycling. The CM Crackermill features advanced Dual Drive™ rolls that process tire rubber to a fine grind that can be adjusted from 10 to 80 mesh [2000 – 177 microns]. The unique cutting action is produced by two large counter-rotating cast iron rolls that crack and mill the rubber to grind it to a specific size. Each roll is independently driven and operates at different speeds for optimal performance capabilities.

This differential in speed between the rolls is referred to as the “Friction Ratio”. The material is conveyed through a screening system that removes any ferrous and non-ferrous materials that still remain to produce a uniform rubber mesh powder. The pure crumb rubber mesh can be used for molded rubber products, rubberized asphalt, and synthetic turf infill.
