Patented Knife Designs

Multiple Knife Designs For All Applications

CM “Multi-Stack™”

The cost of knives and the associated costs with knife changes is the leading cost driver when operating a shredder. CM’s “Multi-Stack™” and “Double-Stack™” knife technology allows our shredder to process more tires at lower costs than competitive systems.

The CM “Multi-Stack™” shown above, utilizes replaceable knife inserts that are made of through hardened tool steel. These knives can be reground, repositioned and reused up to 3 times.

CM “Double-Stack™”

The CM “Double-Stack™” shown above, utilizes replaceable knife inserts that are made of through hardened tool steel. These knives can be reground, repositioned and reused up to 6 times.

These patented features also provide the closest knife to knife tolerances possible in the industry, up to one thousandth of an inch. This allows the shredder to produce the cleanest cut chips with the least exposed wire at the lowest operating costs available.
Replaceable knife inserts – Improved knife materials cut better and last longer
Resharpenable/reusable knives for multiple uses reduces knife cost and downtime

Columbus McKinnon Corporation has expanded its patented knife systems. Knife insert systems can be utilized on larger shredder models. Knife conversions are also available for all models of shear shredders that currently use a one piece knife system.

Whether you require one piece knives or replaceable knife inserts, CM has a knife configuration for your specific application. Let CM create the Ultimate in shredding technology for your business today.
